ONE-HOUR DESIGN SPRINT

In this one-hour challenge, I was tasked with improving how dementia-related lab results are communicated. Doctors were misreading low concentration values as dangerous due to a dark purple highlight in the UI. While these values were clinically insignificant, the color triggered unnecessary concern—and sometimes led to discarding valid samples, costing the lab $5,000 each. The team needed a simple visual fix that could reduce false alarms without retraining doctors or redesigning the entire interface.
